The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free nonprofit luncheon Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Willamette Heritage Center.
The event, called "Salem's NextGen Community Leaders," starts at noon. Attendees can learn about nonprofits working in the Salem area and find ways to get involved.
Lunch will be provided, and the Chamber says there will be no fundraising or donation requests, according to a Chamber blog post.
The Chamber's announcement is addressed to the "Salem Business Community."
It is not clear whether the event is open to the general public or limited to Chamber members, though registration is available through a public online form.
The luncheon takes place in the Spinning Room at the Willamette Heritage Center, 1313 Mill St. SE. The Chamber has not named which nonprofits will be featured at the showcase.
