Slightly Stoopid and Big Boi are coming to Riverfront Park on Saturday, August 1, for what organizers call the biggest concert the venue has hosted in over a decade.

That ticketed festival is one of five live events filling Salem's calendar between Thursday, July 30, and Thursday, August 6.

Billy & The Rockets at West Salem Park, Thursday, July 30

The West Salem Lions Club wraps up its summer concert series with a free show featuring Billy & The Rockets, a local rockabilly band. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. at West Salem Park and runs about two hours, according to the Salem Reporter newsletter.

Concerts in the Park at Riverfront Park, Friday, July 31

The City of Salem's free Concerts in the Park series continues at the Gerry Frank | Salem Rotary Amphitheater with The Druthers and Idea the Artist. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Food trucks will be on site. The next free show in the series is Friday, August 28.

On High Music Festival at Riverfront Park, Saturday, August 1

The week's biggest draw is On High, a ticketed outdoor festival at the Riverfront Park Amphitheater starting at 3 p.m. The lineup features Slightly Stoopid, Big Boi, The Elovaters, DENM, Chali 2na x Chris Karns, Pepper, and The Movement. On High's organizers said on Instagram that it's "the biggest concert we've landed there in over a decade."

The event is billed as family-friendly, with Hip Hop and reggae acts performing outdoors. Tickets are available at onhighfest.com.

Rooftop Yoga at Salem Family YMCA, Saturday, August 1

Before the music starts, stretch above the city at a rooftop yoga class overlooking the Oregon State Capitol and downtown Salem. The class begins at 10 a.m. at the Salem Family YMCA, 685 Court St NE, and is open to all experience levels. Register at cheersandnamaste.com/events/ymca.

The People's Creative Market, Sunday, August 2

Dragon Wolf Collective hosts The People's Creative Market from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Historic Grand Theatre parking lot at 187 High St NE. The monthly market blends local artists, food vendors, music, and creative expression into one afternoon. Admission is free. More information is at dragonwolfcollective.com.
