Salem residents looking to get outside have options this week, with a fantasy-themed art market, a triathlon finish line to cheer, and the opening of the Northwest's largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament all landing within days of each other.

Outer Realms: Wanderfest at Woodmansee Park

Dragon Wolf Collective brings back its outdoor art market and community celebration on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, at Woodmansee Park, 4629 Sunnyside Road SE in South Salem. The event is free to attend.

The two-day fair features local artists and makers in a fantasy-themed outdoor setting. Costumes are encouraged. Woodmansee Park also has walking trails, pickleball courts, and a playground for families looking to make a day of it. More info at theouterrealmsmarket.com.

Ironman 70.3 Oregon at Riverfront Park

Competitors in the Ironman 70.3 Oregon race will cross the finish line at Riverfront Park on Sunday, July 19. The race doubles as a qualifier for the 2027 Ironman 70.3 World Championship, according to the event's official schedule. An awards ceremony and slot allocation rolldown is set for 3:45 p.m.

Hoopla XXVII tips off near the Capitol

Oregon Specialty Group Hoopla XXVII, presented by Toyota and Dutch Bros Coffee, opens Tuesday, July 21, and runs through Sunday, July 26, on the streets surrounding the Oregon State Capitol.

Last year, nearly 1,100 teams competed and more than 50,000 spectators showed up, according to event organizers via KYKN. The highlight 3-on-3 tournament takes place Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, with The Gauntlet competition at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 25. Full details and registration are at oregonhoopla.com.
