Eleanor C. Beatty is the only candidate listed for Salem's municipal court judge seat on the Tuesday, Nov. 3, ballot.

The city's elections page shows Beatty, who has served as municipal judge since 2023, running unopposed in the nonpartisan race.

The winner will preside over Salem's Municipal Court for the next four years, handling all offenses punishable by city ordinances, all violations and all traffic offenses short of felonies.

Beatty earned her law degree from Willamette University in 2004, according to her BallotReady candidate profile. She was licensed by the Oregon State Bar on Sept. 28, 2004, according to her Avvo attorney profile.

Before taking the bench, she practiced family law and estate planning.

Her legal career included stints as an associate attorney at Beloof & Haines from 2005 to 2006, then as owner of Koho & Beatty, Attorneys at Law from 2006 to 2016.

She was a partner at Keizer Law from 2016 to 2022. She also received the Arno Deneke New Lawyer of the Year Award, according to her Avvo profile.

The South East Salem Neighborhood Association invited Beatty to speak at its October 2025 meeting about what was new with the Municipal Court.

Topics on the agenda included what to do after receiving a citation in the mail and safety diversion programs for drivers.

Unofficial election night results will be available through county election offices, according to the city. Official results come after the election is certified.
