Seven weeks of free live music start Saturday, July 18, at the Keizer Rapids Park amphitheater, and every Saturday night through Aug. 29 a different band will take the stage.
Valor Mentoring, a Keizer-based nonprofit, is organizing the series it calls Keizer Rapids Summer Sounds. The weekly concerts are free and family-friendly, with food carts and drinks available on site each week, according to the organization's website.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m. at the amphitheater, 1900 Chemawa Road N., according to the Keizer Chamber of Commerce event listing.
Portland indie rock band Glitterfox opens the series Saturday, July 18. The group blends garage rock, new wave and southern Americana.
Five Guys Named Moe follows on Saturday, July 25. Dave's Killer Band is booked for Saturday, Aug. 22. Bands for the remaining four Saturdays have not yet been announced publicly; the full lineup is available at valormentoring.com/summersounds.
The series, which ran at the same amphitheater in 2025, is sponsored by local businesses. Valor Mentoring focuses on youth mentoring and operates a community center called The REC at 3500 River Road N. in Keizer.
No admission fee. No tickets required. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Thursday, Aug. 20, 6–7 p.m. — Free Yoga in the Park on the lawn behind the Bush Barn Art Center & Annex, 600 Mission St. SE, Salem. A 60-minute Vinyasa Flow class led by Lorissa Addabbo of Common People Yoga. Donation-based; proceeds support free arts programming through the Salem Art Association.
